Black Hills Spruce

This beautiful species is noted for its dark green foliage and conical form. Its needles are 1/2 to 3/4 inch long with a rounded point. It is a truly cold adapted tree and is very resistant to winter injury. It prefers rich moist soil in full sun, and also thrives in dry well-drained sites.

The native Habitat of the Black Hills Spruce is from Labrador to Alaska and south to New York.
